What's Our Big Why in Growing?

What's our big why in growing? In the beginning, it was personal, but now, it really is the positive energy that surrounds us that encourages us to just do better everyday, because people helped us, supported us, and trusted us! This week, I want to share with you our website domain. We just acquired WenGroup.com! After 30 years ever since the first URL existed, most of the domains that make sense are taken. I could not get anything looks like my name or our real estate group’s name at all, not even with money. One day, I bumped into this domain wengroup.com and realized they didn’t update their site for a couple years. It took us a ton of detour and detective work to finally reach out to the owner. I had no idea how much it needed to purchase a domain like this. It could have been tens of thousands. The owner could easily pocket it as a good profit as this was our name and we probably wanted it badly (well, not that badly as our business currently is 100% referral based, so the website doesn’t matter all that much, but still, it’s great to have). However, instead of taking the advantage of this unique position, the owner proposed a reasonable number, and instead of taking it for his own vacation, he asked us to just donate to his kid’s school in Illinois! I was in awe of it! The same day, I wrote a check for more than what he asked for, and put it in the mail. And guess what, our local school district also got a check from us. We benefited so much from the local neighborhood too, so why not double the act? We also kept one of their slogans from their old website, “We treat our clients like family. We never talk down and no house (business) is too big or small. We are here to help you…” We couldn't agree more on it, and we would love to keep his legacy, and bring it to the next level! Everyday, I am truly feeling grateful for all these miracles, so we produce, and we return.
